We are happy to announce Terminal services log 2.0 gallery of screenshots.

Final v2 will be published in a day or two, until that you can check screenshots on http://www.terminalserviceslog.com/features/screenshots/

If you want to try new version, or you have comments feel free to contact us.

Active process per user and past active time of processes

New version of application will include feature of current viewing process per selected user and process that were used in past for selected users.
This way you can view active process per users in live monitor. OK what is the deal, you will ask. I can see that data in task manager also?!
The difference here is there will be available past reports of application usage. You will be able to create reports like:
- Who is using what application?
- How many instances of Internet Explorer does USER have on Terminal Server in the past month?
- How many times has USER used Internet Explorer this week?
- When Terminal Server crashed yesterday at 08:02:13, who was running what application?
- Can I see USERS favorite applications ranked by execution count?

Sample screenshot for user administrator with only current session report times per application:
You can note that terminal services user oriented processes are run from the session logon, and applications like Total Commander is run for 7 minutes, Firefox is running for 3 minutes and so on.
Terminal services log for Citrix and Microsoft active processes

Summary for all users

As mentioned before we are in rapid new application version development of Terminal services log.
Today we will speak about summary times of all users on Microsoft Terminal Server or Citrix XenApp.
Summary of all users will be available in two reports, summary for all users on terminal server or summary per selected users.
First report will generate use off all users connected to server in selected time period.
Second report will generate report only of selected users, meaning you can for example select all users from sales to report how much sales was active over selected time period.

Screenshot for new feature is available:
terminal services log summary times of all users connected
Summary is simple sum of selected users and with this report you will know if in one room where sales team is, idle time is 60 or 70% percent of Total time on system, and 20% of the active time users only process opened is Internet explorer, then only conclusion is team in that room is very lazy.

This is only one example of the new features that new version of terminal services log will offer.

Drawing charts on per user activity times

As we are in development in completely rewritten terminal services log we have a problem how to draw charts that will represent user active idle and disconnect time summaries.
Beta user interface is available on the following picture:
TSL beta analytics
As you can see on the screen there are 5 users available for reports.
Active time is in green color, yellow is idle and disconnected time is red. Below is detailed data of any user, when he was first logged on, last log out, activity times, and how much times user connected to terminal server.
If you have any propositions feel free to leave a comment or write us a mail. We will be glad to take another opinion from users that will be using software.
